Bonnie Prince Charlie & the Jacobites

These videos formed part of a free short online course from the National Museum of Scotland and the school of History of Art at the University of Edinburgh.  The course covered the dynastic crisis of 18th century Britain, exploring the story of Prince Charles Edward Stuart, and examining the cultural legacy of the Jacobite risings, using iconic objects from National Museums Scotland.

Bonnie Prince Charlie & the Jacobites was led by Viccy Coltman, Professor of Eighteenth-Century History of Art at the University of Edinburgh, along with David Forsyth, Adrienne Hynes, Christine McLean, and Lyndsay McGill, National Museums Scotland, and Emily Goetsch and Hannah Lund, University of Edinburgh.
