DESCRIPTION:Thur February 4th \n14:00 – 16:00 \nAppleton Tower \nRoom M2b \n  \nJoin us to celebrate the launch of the new Open.ed.ac.uk website! \nIn line with the University mission to create\, disseminate\, and curate knowledge\, Learning\, Teaching\, and Web Services are expanding Open Education Resource (OER) support services to encourage greater uptake and use of OERs across the University. \nOERs are digitised teaching and learning resources that reside in the public domain or have been released by the copyright owner under an intellectual property licence (e.g. Creative Commons) that permits their use or re-purposing (re-use\, revision\, remixing\, redistribution) by others. \nThe launch will include an introduction to OERs and presentations from Professor Clive Greated\, Professor Neil Turner\, and Dr Ellen Spaeth\, on their experience creating and sharing OERs for teaching. \nTea and coffee will be provided\, along with the opportunity to explore and provide feedback on the new website. \n
