Hybrid Nested Face Shield

Technicians at the School of Engineering have developed a process to laser cut face shields for healthcare staff.  The shields, which are adapted from existing open source designs, have a full-face visor and adjustable headband, and can be cut from a sheet of plastic using automated laser-cutting machines. You can read more about the development of these face shields here: Laser-cut face guards to shield key workers.

The CAD files and the face shield design they contain are provided ‘as is’ without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as regards their quality, fitness for purpose or non-infringement of the intellectual property rights of others. In no event shall the designer or the University of Edinburgh be liable for any claim, damages or other loss arising from or in connection with the CAD Files, their use or other dealings with them.
