Learning for a Sustainable Future
16 videos created for the ‘Learning for a Sustainable Future’ massive open online course (MOOC) are now available for anyone to use and re-use on a CC BY licence.
Climate change, gender equality, health, social equity, and inclusion are issues that affect us all, impacting human well-being. How to live a sustainable life affects – and connects – us all.
Through this 5 week MOOC learners explore a range of global, community and school-based contexts and develop an informed personal response to major contemporary challenges faced today.
The open licensed videos from the course look into the environmental education movement, including development education and global citizenship, the interconnected nature of sustainability issues, and attempts to address many of these at national and international levels through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
The course has an additional strand for those working in formal or informal education, who want to bring some of the activities and issues covered in the course into their own teaching.
