‘Attention and Advertising Tactics’ Psychology Resource
Attention and Advertising Tactics is an educational resource that ties into the Scottish National 5 Psychology curriculum.
This resource covers examination of popular culture, the media, and peers, in addition to ones own attitudes and values, and how these can affect and impact an individuals actions.
The resource is provided within a .zip file package. It includes detailed Practitioner Notes in both MS Word and PDF format, a PowerPoint presentation and an activity where learners assess different forms of advertising technique.
It also contains short biographies of the two co-authors and details of their academic involvement in psychology.
Created by Agniete Pocyte & Lorna Camus as part of the School of Geosciences’ Outreach Programme, which allows students in their final year to work in partnership with a local school to develop a set of lesson plans.
The resource is provided on a CC BY 4.0 licence and has been uploaded to TES Connect which hosts a range of lesson materials for early years, primary, secondary, and special needs teaching.
