This is a series of short open licensed videos of an interview with Justin Rice, Head of Ecosystem at the Stellar Development Foundation, on philosophical implications of cryptocurrency for course Philosophy of Information, 2021-22.

The Philosophy of Information is an undergraduate course at The University of Edinburgh led by Dr Alistair Isaac. This course examines different conceptual analyses of information and their implications for epistemological and ethical issues distinctive to the information age. It covers questions such as: What is information? Does information convey knowledge? Is misinformation nevertheless a form of information, i.e. can information be false? Do interactions in realms of pure information (chatrooms, MMORPGs) carry the same ethical obligations as physical interactions? What are the distinctive features of an information-based economy?
