Many of us dream of a white Christmas. Dr Jane Blackford in the School of Engineering has a cold room where she can make snow.

In this short media clip she describes the work she does and the research with industrial partners Michelin, to ensure that vehicle tyre technology improves so that we can all benefit from grip, not slip on the ice.
