Journey with Huskies game details
The game was created during a half-day workshop for staff and students. Participants were introduced to the differences between copyright and licensing, how to identify licensed material that is free for re-use, and how to licence their own work. They were then guided through all the steps to create their own board game. Including prototyping, play-testing, and adding variety and fun by employing different game mechanics.
Penguin Doom
Created by LTW staff at an away day in 2016, CC BY 4.0
Save or hunt all the penguins! A 2 player game in which you play as either the courageous Sea Elephant or the dastardly humans.
This game was created during a 1 hour Board Game Jam run for the Learning Teaching and Web services divisional Away Day in 2016. Over one hour participants were given a flash introduction to copyright and licensing, how to identify licensed material that is free for re-use, and how to licence their own work. Participants were then challenged to work together in groups to create a board game prototype in under one hour.
We hope you enjoy our #OpenUnwrapped advent and feel encouraged to further explore the world and practice of ‘Open’.
